Actor RON SILVER (1946-2009)
Hello. I recently found out that US actor RON SILVER died from cancer earlier this year. I was wondering what film composer you most associate with his work. For me personally, I will always associate RON SILVER with composer MARK ISHAM (who scored two of his films: TIMECOP (1994) and REVERSAL OF FORTUNE (1990)). I will always remember SILVER's performance as Professor Alan Dershowitz in REVERSAL OF FORTUNE opposite JEREMY IRONS as Claus Von Bulow - aswell as the beautifully atmospheric MARK ISHAM score that went with it. If anybody has any thoughts on this, I'd like to hear them. Thanks.

As I was reading this thread, I immediately thought also in REVERSAL OF FORTUNE and Mark Isham's score. I think this was one of Silver's finest performances (if not his best), and Isham's work on that film was wonderful.
But this title and composer have already been mentioned by DannyBowes, so I will suggest another two movies which I think had great performances by Silver accompained by first class scores, one by an underrated composer and the other by a real movie legend (also recently deceased): THE ENTITY by Charles Bernstein (deserving once and for all an official CD release) and delightful ENEMIES, A LOVE STORY by Maurice Jarre.

Hello,
As for "The Entity", I am quite sure there will be an official release coming up very shortly...
The reason for it being that the new Tarantino movie "Inglourious Basterds" will feature one track of it ("Bath Attack").
I see a CD coming with a sticker on it saying "contains "bath attack" featured in Quentin Tarantino's hit movie ...".
Heck, it worked with Bixio-Frizzi-Tempera's "Sette Note In Nero", which was also finally released for the first time after "Kill Bill"... ;-)
Let's hope.
Best,
Burnie

I wish you are right Burnie, but without that horrible sticker :-)
