At least they are shipping this year.
Anyone know what kind of limited releases these are supposed to be and how iTunes is involved?
ThanX!

To quote Varese, seri:
"In an age when more and more releases are being made available as “download only,” we
are going to try and stay a little old-fashioned by standing by the good old CD. While our
regular releases have now long been made available both on CD and as downloads, we have
released just a few iTunes-only titles. Soundtracks for films with more limited distribution
have a hard time finding an audience in cities where the film itself is not shown. Since more
and more of our favorite composers are scoring films that fall into this category, we thought it
was time to start a new series of releases that is kind of a hybrid between our regular
releases and our CD Club. These titles will be made available digitally at iTunes and Amazon,
but we will also produce a limited number of CDs to be sold from our own web site. Hopefully
this will provide the best option for fans of the composers and allow scores that might
otherwise have fallen by the wayside to be added to the collection of those who want them,
in the format that suits them best. We anticipate this to be a sporadic series, not a prolific
one, and we intend to launch it with two releases next month."

Hallo !
For both CD's are two label-numbers listet:
Colosseum MO 4201.2
Varese Sarabande 302 064 201 2
Colosseum MO 4202.2
Varese Sarabande 302 064 202 2
How is that to understand ???
Exist from both CD's 2x 1000 copies(every label-number 1000 copies); together 2000 copies???
Or exist from every CD 500 copies one each label-number(together 1000 copies) ????
Have anyone a answer ???
Thanks forward !!!

I did not even go to Colosseum's website to see if they were selling these albums. Good question though. To be honest, personally, I don't care for these titles. Most likely response might come from emailing Colosseum. Varese doesn't really respond to questions but you have nothing to lose by emailing them. Personally, I'll stick with the Varese 'true' limited cd club titles every now and then. They seem more interesting anyway. As far as a soundtrack record label providing downloads and limited cd's as well I don't think Varese is a first. I think Movie Score Media is one and CAM another. Even the now OOP DIVINA RIDENS by Digitmovies is available as a download with a different downloadable cover. The Digitmovies cover is cooler. What is this world becoming to? :) I hope all this does not become a trend though or has it. I think I will download a pizza. Salut!
P.S.
With extra anchovies!
BURP!!!

@scoreman007
just visit the Varese website and read the text.

scoreman007,
Varèse Club titles also have catalogue numbers at Colosseum beginning with MO.
I'm pretty sure Varèse manufactured 1000 copies and Colosseum will distribute a part of them, just like the Varese Club.
It coulb be one of the reason they sold out so fast on Varèse's site.
