HIGHLANDER
Can anybody tell me if the original soundtrack to Highlander is played by the National Philarmonic orchestra ? If not that mean its not an original soundtrack but a cover.

YES! Michael Kamen conducted the National Philharmonic Orchestra in the score to HIGHLANDER on November 22,23 and 27, and December 6, 10 and 12 of 1985. The SOUNDTRACK portion of the score included music by Queen, but because EMI got cold feet on a genuine soundtrack release, Queen's original versions of PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER and A KIND OF MAGIC were only released as studio versions, NOT the soundtrack versions which appear in the movie tracks. NONE of those three great songs were ever released commercially in their original forms. They remain forever in legal limbo.

THANK YOU. There is a new cd at ARK SQUARE that has everything on, even the songs. Do you know anything about it ?
