Stir Crazy soundtrack piece not on album?

Hello all, This is a bit of a long shot. But in the film Stir Crazy there is a piece of music which is played as Gene Wilder and Richard Prior are travelling in there camper van between New York and Hollywood. This track is not on the Stir Crazy soundtrack album. I have looked everywhere for this piece of music but unable to find it. It sounds like Chuck Mangione type of music but I have some of his albums and its not on them.
Does anyone know if it was ever released?
