Question

BADLY WANTED: Alan Silvestri's DUTCH [1991] & (incorrect listing on this site?)

First, I have heard rumors and seen scant evidence that a score of Alan Silvestri's DUTCH is out there, in some form. Second, On SoundtrackCollector.com, there is shown a Varese Sarabande Release to this score The listing shows the cat# as Varese Sarabande VSD 5336. But, in doing some net searching on this cat#, I see that 5336 looks to be a John Carpenter collection.
I guess what I am trying to find out is twofold. First, is this Varese catalog# really correct? If not, has there ever been any release of any kind of this movie's score? If so, who do I mangle in order to get it? :)
Thanks - Underscore1

Hello,

You can find one theme (4:36 min.) of this score on the extremely rare DoCD Promo Compilation "Selected Themes", which is produced by the composer himself some 10 years ago. It´s very difficult to find, because there were only 500 copies pressed.
Somewhat easier you probably find the 1-CD bootleg also titled "Selected Themes"; as far as I know you can find the same theme on it. But this bootleg is also very limited!
Good luck for hunting one of them!

As far as I can tell, the listing on this site is erroneous. That particular label number in fact belongs to the John Carpenter compilation. There was never an "official" CD release of Silvestri's score for "Dutch."

However, according to the Majestyk Score Archive, there was a bootleg pressing made at one time.
