Question

Superman II (Ken Thorne)

Besides the LP version, was a CD version of the soundtrack to
Superman II by Ken Thorne ever released? I know that the FSM box
set has this score included, but all I really want is the CD version of
the score for the 2nd film. I already have the Rhino edition of the
original Superman. Anybody have this?

There was a single japanese CD (sold out) with same content as SII
and SIII LP's, but sound is much better in SII and SIII CDs from FSM
Box Set...and there is a lot of extra music...and contains SIV, a
wonderful score...Superman FSM Box is really gorgeous!

The FSM box set really is worth it!

The Japanese release with SUPERMAN II and III in the same CD is an interesting addition to any soundtrack collection. Once the FSM Box was released, the price of the rarely seen Japanese CD went down. I got mine for a mere $5.95 (regretedly without OBI).

$5.95 WOW!! Where did you find it? I check eBay every now and then and when they have it, it's a lot of money.

I got it in Italy, in the used CDs section of the former Digitmovies distributor, Lodoss distribution. Sometimes they sold used CDs from labels other than Digitmovies. When the FSM blue box was announced, these guys from Italy put one used copy of the Japanese edition of SUPERMAN II & III on sale for only $5.95. I suppose it was part of the private collection of somebody from the label, who thought the FSM release was enough for him. I purchased it as soon as I saw it.

I am glad that blue box set was released. People had been asking way too much for that measly Japanese CD for years. Glad the price was quashed. The blue box set is great. Buy that instead.
