I cannot answer for the Tsunami release. I do have the SVC 'promotional' release on 2cd's which is the whole score and is a mixture of mono and stereo tracks with some bonus cues. the sound is Ok but not outstanding.
However OUTSTANDING is the the only way to describe Varese Sarabandes' new release of the score on 6CD+1DVD + 168 page book but it is horrendously expensive. 2full cds of thr 'love theme' is a bit excessive however well played and passionately performed. the DVD is interesting (a bit boring and repetative) and will get no more tha a few viewings. But it was a labour of love for Robert Townson so good luck to him. Perhaps later he may be persuaded to release separately disc 1 of all the surving tracks in superb stereo.
Thanks. I agree with you 100% on the Varese release. 2 discs of the love theme only was waaaay tooo much. The score needs to be re recorded using original orchestrations (15 trombones!!!)
