Movie Grooves is closing down!

Sad news, the online soundtrack store, mainly selling 60s and 70s horror, cult and B-movie CDs and LPs is shutting its doors.

I myself have always been a satisfied costumer, as they were pretty trustworthy - I didn't mind paying a bit extra for this great service. Also the fact that they aimed toward a niche market had me using their shop as kind of a database to new and old releases regarding the cheezy, shlocky, groovy and just cool stuff.

I must admit though, that lately they seem to have encountered problems catching up with the big boys. Whatever the reason, new releases could not get rid of the "pre-order" status while all other shops were already shipping.

Anyone else care to share some sentiments?

I remember, not to long ago Movie Boulevard also closed it's doors, and now Movie Grooves. It's sad indeed, it really is.

People should buy more soundtracks.

It's a shame and maybe a sign of the times I'm afraid. I put this down to people downloading off youtube and other sites for free. It will enevitably take it's toll on the little man ...

RIP movie grooves .... gone but never to be forgotten a really great site.
