What video?

I saw a music video on mtv rock about 15-18 years ago in the video the bloke singing slowly turns to stone getting older and throughout the video it keeps showing a ring on the singers finger then right at the end he turns to stone the turns into a pile of dust with just the ring on top of the pile-anyone know the group and track name?
