Question

Carrie

Why haven't I seen a review or whatever, regarding Kritzerland's release of Pino Donaggio's score to "Carrie"? That's such a great soundtrack, and it's so great, having the complete score available, for the first time! I don't understand that! ??

Write your own. The internet world gives as all a voice.

Thank you, for your responses to my post!
I realized, after the fact, that I was not specific in my initial post however! What I meant was, that I am surprised that I hadn't seen anything at all about the release of the CD set, or any review HERE on Soundtrack Collector! Did I miss it? I am usually pretty good about checking in here, to see what the latest releases are, etc. But, I never saw anything about "Carrie"!

Thanks again, though, for your replies!

This is great having an official release of Pino Donaggio's score....but this is far from "complete". I put together a bootleg version several years ago from the surround channel of the DVD, and a couple of other sources, and there's at least a couple of music "stingers" I think might be missing from this (but not 100% positive), but as far as ALL music heard in the film, there's three songs not included in this release: "Heat Wave" by Martha and The Vandellas (heard on the radio in John Travolta's car when we first see him in the film with nancy Allen), "Education Blues" by Vance Or Towers (played at the beginning of the prom sequence), and another song that's been unidentified which is heard in a scene in the car with Travolta and Allen. The album cover info is also off slightly...MGM may now hold rights to the movie, but it was actually made and distributed by United Artists.....the cover says "An Original MGM Motion Picture Soundtrack". Technically, it should say "United Artists Motion Picture".

The Varese release has the main title repeated twice, which is
unnecessary and a insipid idea.
