La-La-Land...what's the deal?

OK, so are there any collectors out there who have a sizable amount of
La-La Land discs? I'm just wondering...are they good sound quality? I
used to collect soundtracks ages ago and am getting back into it much
more seriously and I'm curious if these guys are the real deal. I bought a
limited edition soundtrack to "Mad Doctor from Blood Island" the other
day and the sound quality of the disc was horrendous. It wasn't a La-La
Land recording, but it was my first experience with a crap sounding disc
and I don't want to repeat that again.

My experience with La-La Land is that they present an excellent product for a reasonable price.
I have a lot soundtracks of them and I was never disappointed in the quality.

Shawn, in reference to Mad Doctor of Blood Island, I would say that a CD issue can only be as good as the quality of the source material. There's only so much that a company can do to clean up an old recording, and that particular movie was released in 1968! I just watched it again recently, and I thought that what the music track in the movie itself sounded like wasn't especially good to begin with. I'd say that one shouldn't just automatically make an assumption about all old recordings on the basis of what ONE sounds like. Even later non-digital analog recordings can deteriorate over time (or may not have sounded that great to begin with. That's just the nature of the beast, as it were.

I just wasn't impressed or like the job on Innerspace. Igoe's trashing
sound effects in the score is mixed way down and some synth are
lost too in parts of the soundtrack. This is the only one so far that
needs to be fixed and replaced.
