Mystery Song from Film

When it comes to movies, I’m usually more into the soundtrack
than I am the actual film, unless it happens to be a really
standout work. For the longest time, I have been trying to recall
a song from a movie I once saw. The movie, its title and the
actors are a bit of a blur for me. I can almost hear some of the
song in my head, but I can’t seem to place it.

Regarding the movie, I can picture a band of musicians performing
and/or recording. I thought it might have been a French movie,
but now I’m not so sure. When I tried to find this out before, the
Christophe Lambert film Paroles et Musique was suggested to me.
However, I do not believe this is the case. The song that keeps
playing in my head has lyrics that are like this:

“Somewhere in time, and in space”

The style of the song would be from the 80s, as this would have
been the time frame. If memory serves me, the sound resembles
“All I Need Is A Miracle” by Mike + The Mechanics.

That’s all I can remember, and maybe this was only a dream and
no such movie or song exists. Can anyone shed some light on
this mystery?
