Friday the 13th and Predator...

I thought I posted something, but I don't see it. Is there a reason the Friday the 13th scores haven't gotten a proper release with each one getting it's own disc and liner notes? I'm so tired of CDR's going for big money on eBay. I just want the real deal. Is there something I'm missing? Copyrights? Tapes destroyed? Something in the works?

Also, I'm gearing up to get the Predator score sometime soon. Can anybody recommend the Intrada one over the Varese Club or vice versa? I'm sure they're both awesome, just wondering if any one of them is a more definitive version that I need in my collection over the other. Thanks!

Regarding Friday 13th, you should read this:

Both Predator issues are good, differences are almost unnoticeable on standard equipment.

Seriously...thanks for the heads up. I'm on Twitter and Facebook, but rarely visit them. Good to know I can mark this on my calendar. I REALLY hope each movie gets it's own CD. From the looks of things, it sounds like they're going to.

Thanks as well on the Predator release. Sounds like it's just gonna come down to liner notes. I'm just getting started on soundtrack collecting and only have a few Varese Clubs and Intrada S.C.'s. Anybody have a preference on who does better liner notes?

Both offer comparable and excellent liner notes - covering almost the same details. I prefer Intrada's release - but that is strictly a personal choice. You'd be fine with either CD. Happy hunting...

I'll definitely order the Friday the 13th box. I've been keeping up with
the Halloween reissues and was hoping someone would release the
Friday scores. Now hopefully someone will do expanded versions of the
Elm Street scores.

I missed the Varese Predator by one day (one day they had a lot left and
I said 'I'll order it tomorrow' and of course they were gone the next day).
I was determined to not let that happen again with the Intrada release.
