Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring Trailer Music

Remember the music they used in the very first Lord of the Rings trailer to
hit the internet? The one that was a bit of a 'making of' as well? Anyone
know what the big score piece they used in that was?

I am not sure I can identify specifically the piece you are asking about - as so many pieces of music was used for these trailers. soundtrack.net though may be able to provide you with the answer.

Head over to http://www.soundtrack.net/trailers/?cid=L&;id=733 for the information that you want.

I know they used some music from Requiem for a Dream. An orchestral version of the main theme. Sadly it is not available on the OST from Requiem...

Are you sure that REQUIEM FOR A DREAM was used for FELLOWSHIP? I seem to remember that it first appeared for trailers for THE TWO TOWERS.

Well... You must be right, alan. I'm a canadian and I drink too much... But it seems to me that trailer music in general is different from a country to another... Maybe they used the Requiem soundtrack for Fellowship only in Québec, or in France or in Spain... I know nothing about these things.

The orchestral piece that was used for the very first internet sneak preview (the 'trilogy trailer') is Christopher Field's 'Gothic Power', quite an exhilarating composition.
