What LP is still missing??
A general question/poll for everyone...
What excellent score in your LP collection is STILL not available on CD after all
these years?
Some of mine:
God's Little Acre (Elmer Bernstein)
Silent Movie (John Morris)
Swashbuckler (John Addison)
Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies (Ron Goodwin)

Those Daring Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies (Ron Goodwin) is not on CD.
I have restored the score from my LP on a CD-R wich sounds fine. The sound on the original LP is also fine, - but on my LP there were some knicks and knacks wich the software could remove.
I do not know anything about the other LP's.

MARCHE PAS SUR MES LACETS by Georges Garvarentz and THE DEEP by John Barry are two LPs I own which were not reissued on CD. Let's hope this will change soon.

Arne:
I did the same with my "Daring Young Men..." LP. It transferred nicely as well. In
fact, the CD is a "double-feature" of that and "Those Magnificent Men in Their
Flying Machines."
I agree with many of the other choices as well. "Cat's Eye" and "Troll" would be
some other great transfers, as well as "The Deep" (but how to make a decent LP
transfer onto a "blue" CD to mimic the LP?), "Kindred" and "Silver Bullet."
Speaking of horror flicks, the Harry Manfredini "Friday the 13th" LP is my next
transfer endeavor.
Any more suggestions out there?

I have some most wanted titles too that I already transferred to cd myself, but despite all software, it just does not have the best quality. I am aware of some bootlegs of these titles, but no official releases yet. (for some titles I hope for a Varese Club release).
... a lot of titles already mentioned by others,
Monsignor - John Williams
the Fourth Man - Loek Dikker
the Shining - Wendy Carlos + various
Greystoke - John Scott

For restoration I have used Cool Edit 2000 with audio-restoration patch, wich is very fine. This software is now "out of print".

glenngarv,
You do know that the Friday the 13th LP was also released on CD, right?

I own this CD and can testify with confidence that it is AMAZING! The groovy electronic intro tune is my favorite.
Adios amigos...

Thanks for the tip, Open. Looks like that release slipped through the radar.

The late Michael Small's "Klute". I've been trying to get the guy who originally was responsible for the release of the soundtrack LP (for which I have 2 copies) to transfer the master tape to CD and he says he's "working on it". There is, however, a bootleg of the soundtrack LP transferred to CD--with shoddy effects.
