His name is Alan Hakin, who played drums/percussion on a number of Gerry Anderson scores, all the way up to Derek Wadsworth's Space:1999 Year 2 scores. I think he used to be a member of the Jack Parnell Orchestra (many members of whom performed on various scores from Anderson's series).

Another drummer who contributed to several Anderson series (again, up to and including Derek Wadsworth's Space 1999 scores) was Ronnie Verrall, who passed away last year.
