Ghost&MrsMuir question
I have the OST by Sound Factory, and because they usually just copy other released soundtracks, I assumed it was the same as the Varese OST. The last few seconds of the cd (the climax) sounds like someone turned the volume down too soon. Does anyone know if this defect is also on the Varese? I'm referring to the OST, not Bernstein's version also by Varese.

Yeah, the same thing happens on the Varese disc (Cat # VSD-5850). Because this release was "remixed from the original optical film elements", I can only assume that the print they had to work from was either incomplete or damaged, hence the abrupt fade out at the end of track 33. If you can, track down the Bernstein version you mentioned. I have this in my collection and it's a far better recording. E-mail me if you have an queries on this release.
