JAG Soundtrack - Steve Bramson
Hi. My question is this:
How much is this CD actually worth? There is a copy on ebay with a starting
bid of $19.99 and no reserve set. It seems a reasonable price but I was just
wanting to make sure it is indeed rare. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

This is a promo release that was never available in the shops. And as such is quite a rarity.
I've had a look around some of the online stores that may have had copies for sale but none of them stock it. So it seems that it may not now be very easy to find - and the seller knows it (hence the reserve price).
Some online stores to search in would be: www.footlight.com, www.moviemusic.com or www.screenarchives.com
Your question of how much it is worth really depends on how much you are willing to pay for it. $19.99 would have been a reasonable price when it was "easily" available.
There is another entry (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2598407110&category=43663) that lists a start price of $399.99! That surely has to be an error.

I read a bit about this soundtrack and it was never released commercially.
This promo was kind of a promo-reel type thing that he put out to promote
his own work and sent it to people who may give him work. There has never
been a JAG soundtrack released in the stores. I know that this is rare but I
was just hoping that someone could tell me the average price that people
pay for it. I really don't think that the $399.99 in the one auction is a mistake.
Based on what I have read about the CD since I posted my initial question it
actually seems like a good price. I think I will bid on the $19.99 one though!!

I purchased mine for around twenty five dollars when they were produced. "IF" you were to win it at $19.99 (which I doubt will happen) then you got a great deal and should be thrilled! :)
There were only a handful produced so they are rare. What difference does it make if the CD is rare or hard to find? If you want the music then it's worth owning. If you want the CD just because it's rare, then buy antiques or something else... :)

Apparently recently this promo release went for $750.00 on eBay!!

I did an advance search under completed sales on EBay using the following criteria:
JAG Soundtrack - J.A.G. Soundtrack - JAG CD - J.A.G. CD - JAG - J.A.G. - Steve Bramson
and could not find any JAG CDs sold, let alone one for $750.00!
**********[Edit]**********
MY APOLOGIES!!! (Thanks, mbuchan) It did not come up in the above search.
$741.50 - It looks like you've answered your original question! To someone it's obviously worth that! Maybe I should sell mine!

Here is the link to the auction:

You will have to copy and paste the whole thing because some of the
characters in it break the direct link.

I would like to purchase a copy of the cd from one of you who has one.
Please let me know.
Thanks!
