Don Preston's score release for 1982's "Android": Myth or Maybe?
One of the many great 'bad' films of the early 1980's, Android (which borrowed worn sets from 'Battle Beyond the Stars' was a cute little film, weird at times, to be sure. The score, quite possibly, is one of the movie's saving graces. And, if you read the end credits, there is a blurb that says the Don Preston Score was released on records and cassettes. I wanted to query anyone and everyone out there. Does anyone have this score? If so, I'd love to hear an encapsulated review of it. And secondly, if it was released, where might I be able to 'find' another copy to own? It's the music I am after, so format is not a consideration. Primarily, just trying to find out if anyone in our collector's world, owns it, or has seen it.
Thanks!

I don't know much about Don Preston. I only know he worked a lot with Frank Zappa, with John Lennon and did a couple of experimental jazz records. Maybe the "Android" soundtrack album you look for was released under another title (like Peter Gabriel released the "Last Tempation of Christ" score under the title "Passion".) Anyway, good luck... I'm looking for this one myself...
