Wind and the Lion
I am a high school band director in Lincoln Nebraska, USA.
I am seriously looking for the soundtrack to The Wind and the Lion. I am
planning on using music from that movie for part of my marching band show
next school year. I can find the movie but it makes it very difficult to write
music while dialog is going on.
Is there anyone out there that has one for sale. I did
find a used one(CD) on Amazon but it was $74, American!!!!! On a school
budget, it is a bit dear at that price.
If there is someone out there who can help me out, I would deeply
appreciate it.

Sorry to say, the only info. I cannsupply you with is that this OOP CD was issued a # of years ago on the INTRADA label; catalogue # 7005D.
This is one of the greatest of all epic film scores and should be a terrific selection for your marching band

I don't know if this comes too late or not ... but I just saw three pieces of Goldsmith sheet music (arranged for band) on sale on ebay. One of them was "The Wind and the Lion". The others were from "Police Story" and the "Patton" march.
Just type in 'GOLDSMITH BAND MUSIC' in the search window.
As of this writing, there's five days left to bid on "The Wind and the Lion", one day left for the others.

I have the sound track on an Lp,if you are interested,I might be inclined to part with it for the right price. This Lp has only been played once or twice,I bought it new,I believe that I also have the movie on vhs tape.Let me know.
