Requesting: Info on An American Werewolf in London & track listing
Hello
I've been looking for this soundtrack for quite some time now and was wondering if anyone who has it would want to sell it to me.
Also, I'd be really grateful if some kind person could tell me how much of Bernstein's original score appears on the album.
Many thanks.

I have an LP copy of this, bought in 1981 when the film first came out in England. It's mainly a compilation of source songs used in the film. Sadly, there is only one track of Bernstein's music, about 4mins in length.
It's stored in the loft at the moment, so I can't tell you to much more. If you want track listings etc let me know.

I would just like to know if Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" is by any chance on this soundtrack, as I am a fan of his and if it is I'd like to seek out a copy. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

No, I love both Warren's "Werewolves in London" as well as the movie "An American Werewolf in London" but sadly John Landis the Director did not include it in his soundtrack. Actually there are only five songs in the entire movie - three versions of "Blue Moon", Vinton, Cooke and the Marcels - "Moondance" by Van Morrison and - "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence CR, plus some Royal Philharmoic stuff by Elmer Bernstein.
Even though Warren made his song in 1978 and the movie came out in 1981 it wasn't included.
However this song is in the 1986 movie soundtrack "The Color of Money" with Paul Newman and Tom Cruise.
Additionally of course if you get a copy of Zevon's "Excitable Boy" Album/CD first released in 1978 that includes his "Werewolves in London" song as well.
