The Tower / The Core
As I read here and in other forums customers who ordered Christopher Young's "The Tower" also received "The Core" double CD as a gift from the composer for trusting in his yet unknown score.
I pre-ordered "The Tower" through a soundtrack mailorder business not knowing about the gift CD yet and also not receiving it in the end. Did this mailorder business possibly retain it or did Intrada send the gift CD only to end-consumers at all?
I don't see any reason for the latter since the gift CD was meant as a thank you from Christopher Young to his true fans buying his unknown score and therefore it doesn't make any difference if these true fans ordered it directly from Intrada or through a third party. As a true fan I'd find it very disappointing being left out, even more while many not so true fans who obviously didn't deserve this gift are now selling it for a fortune on eBay despite being told not to do so (but why should they care since most of them only bought "The Tower" (and "The Core" after it became known) to make profit from it after it’s sellout?).
Thanks

All I can tell you is that I ordered mine thru a reputable dealer Screen Archives Entertainment and I received a copy of The Core with my copy of The Tower.

I ordered mine also through Screen Archives Entertainment in May, and I didn't receive "The core" CD. It's strange since I think the same quantity of both CDs was issued (1000 copies).

It would have been more simple to order it directly from Intrada. Moreover, it was slightly
less expensive. Most of people bought the "Tower" CD only because there was "The Core"
as a gift. That's true too !

You are right, but when I tried to order "The tower" from Intrada I found that it was sold out, so I had to look for it in somewhere else. I found it in Screen Archives Entertainment, and when I ordered it I had no idea it was paired with "The core". If I had known it I had asked for it. Anyway, If 1000 copies of each disc were issued, I don't understand why some copies of "The tower" have been sold without the promised gift. I'm affraid someone has used this more than interesting gift to make money, and that is not right. Isn't it?

Since I’m foreign it was much easier for me to order it from a soundtrack specialist in my country and combine it with other CDs (as I said I didn’t know about the gift yet). They didn’t actually offer it as it wasn’t released yet, but as usual they pre-ordered it for those who asked for it.
When I found out about “The Core” and “The Tower” hadn’t arrived yet, I asked them whether it would be included. They said they didn’t know about this gift yet (which would be logic since it should be a surprise) and that Intrada may have sent it only to end-consumers. They are usually very reliable, so when "The Tower" arrived without "The Core" in the end, I decided to first ask Intrada who was actually meant to receive this gift and who wasn’t. I asked them twice within the past two months but haven’t got an answer yet.
