Question

Girl on the bridge (La fille sur le pont)

I'm looking for the soundtrack to the film Girl on the Bridge by French director Patrice Le Conte.

If anyone knows of where I could source one, then please let me know.

Best Regards.

Hi,

I'd like to warn others that I have received some less than scrupulous offers to apparently sell me this CD. I recommend that if others are approached about purchasing this CD, to be very cautious.

-After posting this, I note the Warning by the admin of this site about a particular person. This person was the one attempting to sell me a copy of this CD.

Thank you.

the song in question is Who Will Take Your Dreams Away: sung by Marianne faithful. Written and composed my Angelo Badalamenti.

i've found the song and a little more too. In 1995 Angelo Badalamenti (who worked on the sound track for la fille sur le pont) worked with Jeunet and Caro on the sound track to Cite Des Enfants Perdus. Who will Take Your Dreams Away feautues on this sound track, which I now own. Unforunately, a foolish philestine who I would happily kill, decided that an English dubbed version of Cite Des Enfants Perdus would be a good idea. they then, in their infinite wisom, decided to release a multi-lingual version on DVD but only for the US and Canada. who are these muppets?

anyways, Angelo Badalamenti, who also did two awsome sound tracks for David Lynch (Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet) also collaborated with marianne faithful to do an entire album: is is entitled My Secret Life. I legged it enthusiastically to HMV having waited two weeks to pick it up and being the first person to have purchased it since 1998, just over a week ago. my holiday in Ibiza not proving the best place to put it on, i raced home eagerly to play it upon my return. I think HMV must be employing the people that worked on the post production and distribution of Cite Des Enfants Perdus. I opened my prize find only see see a CD bearing the grusome words Bruce Spingsein Born in the USA. quwatski????!!! Grrrrrr. the mission continues.

I too saw this movie last night and am completely hooked on the song we are all talking about - Marianne Faithfulls ' Who will take my dreams away'. Despite lots of web surfing...nothing. Is this song definitely on the soundtrack to 'City of lost children?' Is it on A secret life? I'm confused....Please someone help! I am desperate to hear the song again.
Thanks....in anticipation.

You can hear a sample of the song on Amazon.com if you search under 'city of lost children' soundtrack. It is the first song listed!!!
Patrice Le conte also has a soundtrack to all his films out, which also features this song! I have this CD.

s.shaw3, February 28, 2005; 4:50 PM

The song is available on the album: Le Cinema De Patrice Leconte,
you can see the complete track list at amazon.fr

I just got my copy from amazon.co.uk but I see it is now only available from 3rd parties so it looks as if I got their last copy.

I hope this is useful

The link to the Mp3 above belongs to me. I have removed the Mp3 as it is illegal for me to have it there. I did have a post here that people could email me to ask me personally for the file, but I am reconsidering this offer, as I have gotten nothing but very rude emails.
I find it very surprising that people cannot show a bit of appreciation when they ask a total stranger for a favour. I am very sad to make this decition. Sorry about that!

Remember when Gabor and Adele arrive at the hotel in Monaco, and Gabor is asked for his credit card, and Gabor slams the door? A Turkish-pop sounding song begins playing then, and it ends when Gabor and Adele go to the theater entrance and walk past the elephant. Which song is that?

hi.

great film, and music too.

i see that it's so difficult to find these sound tracks.

may be there is cd with all ST's? if anyone knows, tell please!
i'd like to have them all, but it's impossible to find them(

LGHTSLPR asked a question about the scene where the characters are walking into
the circus, past the elephant....what is that song?

I can't believe that there is a conversation on this topic. I, for so damn long it's hard to
believe, have searched far and wide for this soundtrack. It got so desperate at one stage that
I was in New Caledonia on a holiday and spent two days traipsing around cd stores trying to
get someone to order it in (my budget doesn't stretch to a holiday in France, so New Cal is
about as French as it gets for me!). I have hounded record stores here in Melbourne for any
information and, believe it or not, I have contacted the Australian 'World Movies' channel (I
work for a Cable TV company) asking them to get me an email address for someone who
worked on the film.

All to no avail... until now.

I'm sorry to hogg your forum with my lengthy response - but I am sooo greatful for this
thread. I have now successfully... how do I put this in the least litigious way (!) ... 'obtained
by means of the internet' ... a copy of this song.

Hearing it brought tears to my eyes (ok that may have something to do with the fact that it's
42 degrees C at 10pm at night in Melbourne and I live above a kebab shop - but seriously,
this is HUGE!). And then I felt kind of despondent because... who can I call to share my
elatedness?.. then I thought, dammit i'm going to log onto this forum and leave one hell of a
message just to thank all of you for putting me on the scent of success, and to give you a tip
that is sure to ensure you can share my excitement!

Hearing that chilling, haunting voice will never cease to send shivers down my spine.
For those of you reading this thinking... 'biatch, how did she find it!!!' can i alert you to some
key words? (without condoning any form of illegal activity by the way)

"LimeWire" and "La Fille sur le pont" ...

Bon Chance!

Kat xx

The movie was on again recently. Cannot cease to think how is it not so to not have a soundtrack. I like how it mentions that they are like to two halves of a torn bill and that they are worthless apart.

So can someone send me a copy of the track.

to those looking for the song when the elephant is on screen:

I finally found it! It's "Ghandura" by Kunsertu. Check them out on MySpace, you'll be able to
listen to the aforementioned song!

With some luck you'll find the CD on ebay.it.

Best wishes
