Goldsmith, now Piccioni... Another reason to get drunk!
What a bad weekend!
I don't know that much about Piccioni's music, but Camille 2000 is a personnal favorite.

Still have not heard a single score by him, but since I learned he was an Italian alternative for Georges Delerue with scoring "Le Mépris", I liked him. Very sad loss.

I know only a few works by this man - but both More Than A Miracle (C'Era Una Volta) and Puppet On A Chain are superb scores - totally different.

I've also recently purchased The Light At The Edge Of The World and that has a lovely theme. I shall be looking for more!

I shall raise a glass and play his lovely "Miracle" theme.

Like Vodka KAyou said earlier this was quite bad week for cinema music lovers and the Goldsmith and Piccioni family. In memory of these 2 magnificent and missied composers, rest in peace.

Scored the great 1974 Lina Wertmuller film "Swept Away" An exceptional score. One of the best!

The so-called remake produced recently is a total piece of trash. Worthless!

LE MALADE IMAGINAIRE is one of his all-time best ! Only available on LP, it highlights Piccioni's classical talents for this tasteless period farce. Highly recommended, along with the 2 recently released nunsploitation scores, THE NUNS OF SAINT ARCANGELO/DIARY OF A CLOISTERED NUN.
