the Goonies original score
I've been looking for the Goonies soundtrack score, the one with only musicscore from Dave Grusin. I know there is a Japanese cd. But does anyone know where I can order that cd? Thank you. Greetings David from Amsterdam

I can get you the CD if you like. It is an "official" release (no bootleg) but remember that it only has 1 (one) Score track by Grusin - the rest are SONGS from the movie.
I also have access to a score CD, but it is not official :[

There is NO SCORE released from this film.
Only a rerecorded 20-min suite is available (included in the BEST OF ADVENTURE double cd set).
All the bootlegs which claim to have the complete score are comprised of just this long suite, plus some alternate takes and songs from other albums. Fake stuff, anyway.

Hey David. When I went to Comic-con 2004 In San Diego, I saw the Original CD. It contains about 12 tracks (no songs) from the movie. it was really cool.
Now I regret not to buy it when I had the chance, because I can't find it anywhere. But for sure... someone has it.

There was a bootleg score CD which included HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS. It was issued by Soundtrack Library (018).
There are a total of 21 tracks with a running time of 56:42 (this is for both HARRY and GOONIES).
Without pulling the CD and checking, I believe there were no track titles for either score.

The bootleg you are speaking of is the music from Best of Adventure split up into separate cues, a cue from Cinemagic (a re-recording), and the one official cue from the Japan released song CD.

THere are Japanese and Australian releases of the soundtrack, and they are offical, officially bunk. So, there are two alternatives, look for the 20 minute suite and the actual score CD. I have not listened to it to the extent that I could tell if it is just chopped up bits of the 20 minute suite, as I have no idea where to get the suite, but I joined just to tell you all that this original score is like One Eyed Willy's treasure, it is out there, seen a derivative of it on ((((http://www.freedb.org/freedb_search_fmt.php?cat=soundtrack&id=0d10f914)))), but the actual release is as elusive as the map. If you find it, please let me know, as the adventure it's music is, is a gift to us all. Johnwoofan2000@yahoo.com. Ironically enough, the actual Dave Grusin, Max Steiner score is the majority of the collection, and the pop stuff is minimal.

I, too, am very interested in obtaining a copy of the complete score CD. If john or anyone can help me out, please contact me at pianoluvr@hotmail.com - thanks in advance for your time!
