The score "The Black Hole" music by John Barry is only available on CD edited by Mask Records MK 703 coupled with score "Howard the Duck" also by John Barry. But i don't know why this edition CD is considered as a bootleg ! there is any kind of edition for this score, german edition is also a bootleg ! great score fisrt time recorded in digital sound (1979). Disney had the copyright of this score, no chance to have a officialy edition....

The Mask Records CD was never authorized by Disney, who owns the rights to the music. It was produced in Italy without Disney's permission.

The Mask Records CD is considered to be a bootleg because it is not an official release, but technically, if I understand the definitions correctly, it is not a bootleg but is actually a 'pirate' CD (unauthorized copy of copyrighted music). On the other hand, a 'bootleg' consists of previously unreleased music recorded from live concerts, studio outtakes, radio broadcasts, etc. (music that has not previously been released in any form).
