Movie Boulevard

Is this a good shop to buy from? I've seen they've got some very rare CD's whicj I didn't know had been released. Does anyone else shop from them and if so what do you think,

If it's too rare to be true, it probably is.

They sell some bootlegs, CD-Rs in other words, like some other places do.

I've never ordered from them, but only cause I live in the US and their prices changed to US dollars is high for me and then there is shipping.

I ordered a CD from Movie Boulevard once, and they were reliable and efficient from start to finish. I ordered the rare out-of-print Japanese CD pressing of the soundtrack to E.T., and it arrived in a timely manner and in excellent condition. However, I've heard other people complain that they've ordered CDs from Movie Boulevard only to find out days or weeks later that the item was not actually in stock, so I'd suggest e-mailing them to verify availability before placing your order.

the price of their CD is too much high !!!!

Laurent is correct, their prices are much too high. Also they very rarely have the stuff in stock that is on their website. Even if they say they can get it in, from my experience they are not always able to do so.
My advice - shop somewhere else.
What CD's are you referring to as we might be able to offer an alternative source for buying them?
Cheers

Hey,

Their prices are - partly - l.u.d.i.c.r.o.u.s. Partly you're even off cheper through eBay... and that means something.

I tried to order a title once (about a year ago) and, only after asking what's going on - i got emails saying "we're waiting for the next delivery by this supplier where your title will be in". I got this msg about 4 times. Finally, I felt too silly to continue this and I see they still have this CD listed, so.... that is just my experience.

Oh, by the way... the title was "Fantafestival Vol. 3" on Cinecvox records - and I am STILL looking for it. So if anyone happens to have a spare one... I'm interested.

Best,
Burnie

I've used them once in a while and although their prices are a bit steep they do have access to a lot of rarer stuff.

Just keep in mind that what they list does tend to be what they can have access to. I get the impression that, for example, if you order a disc that is sourced from say Japan, then they'll inform their supplier from that neck of the woods, they'll source it for you and then it'll be sent on the next available delivery from Japan.

I've ordered discs from there, not heard anything from them for a while and assumed that they had been unable to get my order. I've then gone and found it elsewhere only to find a few weeks later that my original order from this site turns up. Voila, two copies (and the one from here is non-returnable as it is a "special order" specifically for the individual.)

I'd say that, if you accept their prices and try to maintain a regular contact with them they will eventually find what you are looking for. I've found that you just need to know how they operate (from experience) and go with the flow.

A recommendation with reservations? Possibly!

VoilĂ  Alan,

I think that's a good explanation. Maybe I was a bit too harsh since I was looking forward to my CD and got disappointed. They did keep up the contact, so I guess they're O.K. (as opposed to many other english companies).

So I guess I would like to add that I really don't think they're doing fraudulant business.

Cheers,
Burnie

I have been buying cd's from them for years now and they never disappointed me. It's true that someof the listed itmes are not in stock. They never ripped me off and always got for me what I ordered, all you need is just some patience but they never disappointed me. - Godwin Borg

I made my first order with them on July 16 ,2004 and three months later I never receive the CD ordered...And the item is still in their catalog...They never sent me any info about my order...
So beware of them.....

alcarriou,

Have you tried e-mailing them about it? They are usually quite responsive to questions asked of them.

Hi,

I buy a lot of stuff from Movie Boulevard and honestly have never had any complaints. I have also had good chats with both the guys in the shop over the phone and they are nice, helpful guys - I know that if I order a CD that when it comes in I'll get it. The simple fact is that they list everything available to them in their catalogue and order it for you when you ask for it. I agree that the price of their new stuff is pretty high but they are an independent shop and can't compete with the bigger boys - however - they do supply a good service.

I would recommend them as longas you are willing to wait and keep in touch with them.

I ordered a soundtrack cd in December 2007; they have charged my card; I have not received it as to date; was over $28.00; very upset. Will let you'al know if it EVER gets here; otherwise, I am out the Money, and still no CD. Very upset. Todays date is February 23, 2008; and no merchandise received as yet. I have also tried to go to their website; is not working.; just great, so beware of them.
