Question

This one violin score

I was driving to DC today and this one piece came on the radio. Its this one classical piece, very beautiful. I want to own that piece. One problem...
I DONT KNOW WHAT THE H*** ITS CALLED!!!

I would love to know the name of it. Ill try to describe it to my best recollection.

It sounds a bit like Mozart, but cant really distinguish. Its violin all the way through, it sounds like its going up on the musical scale, higher and higher each note. It winds down at the end by going back down to a mellow tune Its used at the movie awards I think when presenting drama and foreign films. It actually sounds like Moonlight Sonata, but it is very intense

Again, any help or ANY suggestions would be great!

Somehow the way you decribe the music makes me think of
"Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber, it is used in "Platoon" and in "the Elephant Man", there is also a sung version, "Agnus Dei", I do hope this helps,
good luck, Wim
