Mark Isham must be the greatest composer ever
...because any used CD that he scores seems to go for double what a new CD would cost (esp. October Sky, Life as a House). Does he get so little support from the studio that they cut like 30 hard to find copies of his scores or something?
I'm not THAT enamored with his music that I'm willing to pay more than a new CD price for a used copy. Why is it that certain artists (such as Isham, Rachel Portman, and others) seem to be so hot in ebay auctions? Somebody please explain.

Jeez, I wish I could tell you. I found Timecop at a used CD store for $4.99. Maybe his stuff just falls out of print and Isham buffs snap them up. I don't really care for his work enough to buy anything of his, but I don't think ANY single CD is worth over $20. Oh sure, i can get The Towering Inferno for $285, but it's still only worth $20.
