Which of the 2 alternate Battlestar Galactica Cds available is best?
Hi all,
first up thanks to all for the heads up on my last run of questions! Now onto
this one! There are currently 2 Battlestar Galactica Cds I can purchase, with
different covers. The playlists seem the same only one has an extra track
within the score and the other has a disco version of the title track tagged on
the end! Which is the best Cd to purchase as neither is very specific as to
whether they are the original. Thanks

Neither are the original tracks used in the episode, but one was a re-recording done at the time (1978). The one called the 25th anniversary release (with the disco track) is the original album on CD. The other is a high quality re-recording done a couple of years ago. It's got great sound, but many of the tempos are off and if you're a stickler, you'd want to get the re-release. Actually, if you're a stickler, you'll not only get the 2 CDs, but you'll also track down the 4 CD set which came out in 1998 or something of much of the music done for the series. It's the definitive album and has the original tracks for the pilot episode/movie.
But to answer your question: I like the re-release the best.
So, did I help or just add to your search? :)

Great! Thanks so much for your help. Now I have to start searching for the 4 disc
version! Does anyone out there have one for sale?
