The soundtrack to "Rush"

Hey everybody-I love the movie and soundtrack to "Rush". I had my husband go on line for me and he purchased what he thought was the soundtrack when in fact, it is the score to the movie. It is frustrating too, because the songs that are listed on IMDb are the songs by Lynard Skynyrd, Freddie Fender and others, but what is on the CD is the score with the songs that were composed by Eric Clapton (not that it isn't good music, because it is) Anyway, does anyone know if the actual soundtrack to the movie was even ever released? If so, can somebody hook me up? I'll send you what I owe ya. My e-mail address is walkinweiner@yahoo.com Thanks so much, Renee Findley

As far as I know, there was never a "songs only" soundtrack released for this film. The version with the Eric Clapton score that your husband bought is the only version that was ever released.

Here's a suggestion: perhaps you (or your husband) could download all of the songs (from the film) from the Internet by purchasing them through an online MP3 dealer, such as Napster or someplace like that, since the songs would probably be pretty easy to find, and create your own personal Rush soundtrack by burning the songs onto a CD-R. The best part is, it's totally legal as long as you pay for the songs that you download and don't sell any copies of your CD-R.
