Fred Karlin's Futureworld OST

I own Fred Karlin's Westworld OST. It's quite nice but I prefer the electronic
parts. The sequel Futureworld (also scored by Karlin): what is it like? Is it
more electronic than Westworld? Anyways, Is it worth hunting after?

I also prefer WESTWORLD electronic parts to orchestral ones. Anyway, FUTUREWORLD is quite different. It has some electronics mixed with the orchestra, but it has nothing to do with the orchestral (and rather burlesque or diegetic) parts of WESTWORLD. In FUTUREWORLD you'll find what I think is one of the best scores composed by Karlin (the movie itself is not so good). The music is highly dramatic and very inventive in its orchestrations (some of them unortodox ones). I love this soundtrack, and it comes with a wonderful bonus track: a 12 minutes suite with all the electronic music from WESTWORLD assembled together. The CD is really outstanding and a real gem to add to any collection. Go for it!

I always felt that the music that was previously available for WESTWORLD focused too much on the source music of the movie and so never got the previously available CD.

But with the release of Karlin's FUTUREWORLD and the inclusion of the mentioned 12-minute suite to WESTWORLD (with the inclusion of the gunslinger motif, my fav), the recent release of FUTUREWORLD is a must-own.

I just love the main theme for FUTUREWORLD and the whole piece is an interesting example of Karlin's work: work that needs to be better represented on CD.

The FUTUREWORLD CD released by Reel Music Down Under is a limited edition.

Looking for Futureworld on CD if anyone has it reasonably priced. Thanks!
