Yared’s Troy
I’ve been reading so good reviews about this rejected score that I’m very curious about it.

Gabriel Yared is my favourite composer but for some reasons, this score does not impress me that much. I like it less and less upon repeated listenings. One of the themes bears a striking resemblance to the motif from Tchaikovsky's Fifth and it becomes quite distracting/annoying after a while. Overall, a decent effort but nothing to write home about, in my opinion.

So, do you think that it would be possible that the feeling of injustice generated by the rejection of the score could result in a trend to overrate it by some reviewers?

It is a possibility since people tend to identify with and root for the underdogs.
