Rare scores
Does anybody have a list of well-known rare and/or highly sought after scores? I see some pretty wild ebay auctions for scores but is there a definite list somewhere of soundtracks that collectors would pay major coin to own?

Hi,
try the this link: http://www.soundtrackguide.com
I don't know, if the site is updated regulary, but it gives you an idea what collectors payed in past ebay auctions.
Hope this helps

People in America don't drop coins for CD's. But here's some LP scores that sell for $$$ at places like Dusty Grooves (a great on line store in Chicago):
The Final Comedown- Grant Green (Blue Note Records)(72)
Loot- Keith Mansfield (71)
Tomorrow- Hugo Montenegro(71)
Groupie Girl- Alan Hawkshaw, Onyx, etc. (71)
Girl On A Motorcycle- Les Reed (68) Tetragrammaton version
Coffy- Roy Ayers (original can go up to $300)
Codice D'Amore Orientale- Alberto Balden Bembo ( I paid $125 for mine)
Bedazzled- Dudley Moore Trio (68) expect to pay $100
As you can see there is a pattern forming here, Blaxploitation and rock oriented soundtracks with "breaks" in 'em for hip-hop attrocities are what dealers are selling for big money. Hopefully you'll discover the break before they do. Good Luck.
