I don't believe in it myself. As a matter of fact I can't stand price guides.
Thats what I like about this site. Information on many recordings, many of which I appreciate for their musical value alone.
I ain't in it for the money.

Neither am I. I was just asking, as I need to insure them.

At SoundtrackNet they give you the estimated value of the reviewed scores
http://www.filmmusic.com/
There's also a place called Soundtrack Price Engine, with a utility which watches prices from various internet auction sites and tracks statistics for every title it can.
http://www.soundtrackguide.com/
Although I don't really know the use of any of both sites.
