looking for a piano piece in The Hindenburg
Greetings all.
While doing a in-depth search for the Score of The Hindenburg... I ran into your site. Well I'm looking for the artist/composer of a piano piece that was played (very briefly) in this movie by some chic. I have not even been able to find any info on this praticular piano piece. If you guys can help, I would greatly appreciate it. It would end a few year search that I've been conducting on and off.

Hi,
I have the soundtrack on CD, and there is a "bonus" track of the main title with a heavenly choir. There is a piano piece/cue called "There's A Lot to be Said for the Fuhrer" Just before that song, in the movie, is played "I Wont Dance"..But the piano piece by a "chic"..BTW, its Anne Bancroft. Try either Chopin:Prelude in D-flat, Op.28 No.15 "Raindrop" , Haydn:String Quartet Op.76 No.3 "Emperor", 2nd movt. ,or Strauss :Roses from the South Waltz
If youre interested in the CD soundtrack let me know!

The piece played by the "chic" is the Prelude in D-flat Major by Chopin.

a follow-up question...
apparently, david shire wrote a song called "There's A Lot to be Said for the Fuhrer"...
is this true? what a bizarre title. sounds like something out of "the producers"!
wasn't "the hindenburg" supposed to be a serious movie?
does anyone know the lyrics?
