Comment about "DIE HARD"
Dear collectors,
First of all, i' m sorry but i live in Italy and i don' t speak english well: my apologizes for this.
Recently i bought the "Die Hard" cd, released by Varèse Sarabande (VCL 0202 1004) spending a lot of money, maybe less than many other collectors but euro 45 plus shipping isn' t a nice price for a cd, in my opinion, although it may be quite rare.
However listening the score i discovered two little anomalies in the following points:
- Track n. 13 "Assalt On The Tower" (8:16) from 02'42'' to 02'43''
- Track n. 19 "The Battle" (10:15) from 0'44'' to 0'46''
In these short passages the sound becomes intermittent.
With regard to the sound quality in the cd all, i also noticed a marked rustling, in general. But i don' t hear the same anomalies in the unofficial version: that' s why i' m puzzled.
Since my copy is in excellent, perfect condition, without any minor scratch too, the question is: did i buy an unlucky piece or what other?
Thank you very much for your attention and help.
Sincerely
Nicola

Nicola,
Please don't apologise just because you live in Italy. :-)

My friend, you arrived to a sad and unfortunate truth : the bootleg sounds BETTER than the limited VARESE CLUB CD.

You could try Movie Boulevard in the U.K. They stock alot of rare/limited titles. Their website is being redone, but you can contact them by phone:
(0113) 2422888.
Don't know what the international code is from Italy.
