Quo Vadis(Rozsa) question

Wondering which cd release has the most original film music. I'm going by what's listed in the database here. The Artemis, & London Records, cds say "Conducted by Rozsa and Philharmonic, etc" which suggests it's his own re-recording. The Tsunami & Tickertape cds (which have identical tracklists) say "from M-G-M Orchestra" which SUGGEST it might be original music; they include other films, so they definitely aren't complete soundtracks. Anyone know anything conclusive about this? Also anyone know what's on the the Soundtrack Library release?

I don't think there is a'complete'release of QV.I am guessiing(and if memory serves me right)that those releases that appear to have more music in fact contain rerecorded suites from various performances. In my opinion you can't beat the Decca London cd & the sound is fabulous too.

The original recordings for Quo Vadis was released in 2003 by Classic Movie Soundtracks (12 tracks) along with Ivanhoe (5 tracks). Serial number is BUD 4002, printed in the EU, and distributed in Spain by El Diablo Distribucion, Gran Via 32, 28013 Madrid. LAN-code is 8 435086 740021.
Hoped I helped you a little bit in your search. By the way the CD also has a multimedia track with photos, notes and biographics.

I wonder if (or when) FSM will release a definitive CD of the score after all they seem to have access to most of MGM's library
