Jerry Goldsmith's MALICE question

Please fellow admirers of Jerry Goldsmith, can you tell me anything about this recording ? What it's like, what it may or may not resemble, if it's worth getting, how do you like it ... I'd like to hear any comments.

Many thanks

Dorian

I've never listened to "Malice" but in my opinion any Goldsmith score is worth listening to.

Even "Sleeping With The Enemy" (Horrible film!).

I would put it in the same category as "Basic Instinct". The main/end titles with choir are the best part of "Malice".

I have approx. 70 scores by the great man ... but it never occurs to me to play "Malice" - perhaps that indicates my view of this score.

As the previous posting suggests, the main theme is the best part (indeed, it is another lovely JG melody with excellent orchestration) but the score is instantly forgettable.

But no, I would not put it in the same category as the far superior "Basic Instinct"; even "Hollow Man" is better and more memorable.

Hello Dorian, as someone who owns basically all cd's by the Great and saly missed Maestro Goldsmith I can only praise it but then again tastes vary, some like it hot, some like i cold, with Godlsmith i like everyting! But the Basica Insitinct category entioned earlier sounds fair enough. Cheers.
