Staff on holiday?

Hi everyone,

I noticed that there haven't been any database updates in two weeks. Did I miss an absence message?

No offence intended, just asking. :-)

Hi Urs,

Yes, I am afraid the main part of the staff is on holiday. He'll be back in about a week.

Hi Erwin,

thanks for the very quick reply. By the way, I really want to praise your website, congratulations for your great work.

The only thing that sometimes confuses me is the fact that rejected picture uploads (I got an email or two saying the files weren't good enough - I don't know if the resolution or the general scan quality was the point) still 'block' uploading any future scans. I uploaded a scan for L'Alpagueur probably more than six months ago. If the scan isn't ok, fine, but then it should be possible for me or someone else to give it a new try and upload an improved or different scan in place of the rejected one. Just my technical observation. :-)

Best wishes,

Urs

Indeed the site is getting better and better despite the long delays with updating. Urs, just for statistics: the last approved images of mine were those I submitted in August 2004. It's obvious there's so many labels and things to do ...
Certainly should there be a way how to help to speed things up a little (anything else than to stop submitting) I'd like to help. Good luck with everything SC team !

Hi all,

Thanks for all the kind words.

The situation is that we get a LOT of images, additions and updates and we have a very small staff, so you can imagine we still have a lot to process.

We'll have to discuss how we can improve this situation but at the moment we don't know yet.

In the mean time keep updating and uploading because we will process everything.

Best regards,
Erwin
