Le Voyage en Ballon

This is a great score by Jean Prodromides. I have the Japan CD of it, but I noticed from the database here that the LP version seems to have 8 min. more time length. Someone told me there may be narration on the LP version (which is not on the CD). Could someone please tell me the differences between the LP and CD presentations? I am curious to know if there is any more music available of this score than the 30 min. on the CD.

Someone who has and knows the LP should give more precise information, but I can at least point to the LP artwork:

Which doesn't have any trace of included narration. But who knows.

Hi, regarding Le Voyage En Ballon (or Stowaway in the Sky, as it's also known). This morning, I received from a seller in the US through the Gemm website an original mint condition stereo copy of the Phillips LP Le Voyage En Ballon PHS 600 029 containing Jean Prodromides wonderful soundtrack score. You will be pleased to know that the LP is all music and no narration. Apparently, the Jack Lemmon narration is only on the US and UK dubbed release prints of the film, released under the title Stowaway in the Sky. The music recording on the LP is exactly the same as that heard on the film soundtrack and the running time of the LP is 38 minutes and 51 seconds, just as is stated on the film's page in SoundTrack Collector. If you have played the CD and timed it and it only runs for 30 minutes, there are obviously nearly nine minutes missing. Check the titles of the tracks on the CD and LP to discover what the missing tracks are. I hope this is of some help.
