Flamenco Guitar film score?

Hello,

I like flamenco guitar music and was wondering if anyone could give me some examples of some film scores that feature alot of flamenco guitar music?

Best Regards,
David Phoenix, AZ.

The only thing which comes to my mind at the moment is John Barry's "Romance for a guitar and orchestra" from "Deadfall"(1968) - outstanding concert-piece with great spanish flamenco guitarist Renata Tarrago.

The 2 ZORRO 's scores of James Horner are based on flamenco music and you can find a lot of flamenco guitar!!!
...anyway yes PACO DE LUCIA discography is the top you can hear about flamenco together with VICENTE AMIGO.....

Hi David,
if you're still interested in this topic, I can recommend a soundtrack of Francis Lai "LA BELLE HISTOIRE", an interesting mixture of several styles with a big use of Spanish guitar/flamenco music (performed by the real Spanish players, not just some studio professionals). Also features vocals, synths ... a bit weird but highly interesting listen !

Hi David

You should look for Carlos Saura's film "Flamenco"
Also the 2005 film "CamarĂ³n" and another film that came out a few years ago : "Gitano"

Enjoy!
