Thornbirds hunt - Please help..Im going crazy...
Back in high school (1986), our french teacher (unfortunately now deceased) played us a song she stated was from the Thorn Birds' soundtrack. The lyrics were french and were sung by a female.
The song was most beautiful and haunting and to this day i search for it. Now had I paid more attention to the lessons rather than the cute bruentte across from me, i may have actually understood the words to find it.
Can anyone.. DOES anyone.. have ANY idea what this song may be?

On the Thorn Birds 2 CD soundtrack the only track (I think) with lyrics is "Anywhere the Heart Goes" (lyrics by Will Jennings). This is certainly a very beautiful and haunting track. Perhaps your teacher played a French version of it.
By the way, Rachel Ward who starred in The Thorn Birds is the cutest brunette I've ever seen :)

That isn't the same song. Melody is completely off. Even in English it would be apples & oranges.
