PROMETHEUS READY TO ANNOUNCE 2 NEW TITLES !!!!!!!
Just read this over at Buysoundtrax, thought you may all want to know !!
We are happy to report that we will start accepting pre-orders for TWO NEW TITLES from PROMETHEUS RECORDS starting on Dec 1st, 2005.
One title will be a reissue of a great action score from the 1970'a by one of Hollywood's greatest film composers that has been held hostage for far too long...
The other is a 3000 unit release from the PROMETHEUS RECORDS CD CLUB of a never-before-released Action score by one of the most prolific film composers of the 1980's and we are sure you will have a ball with release.
Let the Guessing Begin!!!

The first one ("held hostage") probably refers to Goldsmith's RANSOM, which
makes sense because Prometheus recently rereleased THE CHAIRMAN, and
Ransom was an inevitable follow on.
The second one could be Bill Conti's ESCAPE TO VICTORY (football ... "have
a ball" ... geddit?).
A better sounding RANSOM will be most welcome.

Goldsmith's RANSOM and Conti's ESCAPE TO VICTORY? Hmmmm... Those would be great news for soundtrack aficionados!
Lets cross our fingers...

Problem with the "Ransom" release (by itself) is that it' such a short score, at least in all
previous releases.

Hopefully Goldsmith's THE SALAMANDER is one of them.

I am inclined to err on the side of Escape to Victory. I have just found out that the DVD for Escape to Victory is just about to be released coupled with the fact that a lot of Conti scores are recently finding themselves available for soundtrack collectors. I would place a bet on this, however, those on inside that I know quite well are not prepared to release the news of which soundtracks are about to be released, so I'm in the dark as much as anyone else.

@Catfellah & the Saint
.... Congratulations with your right guessing!
I hope you can also tell who and when someone
is going to re-release a more complete
and better sounding Alien... ;-)))
cheers, Wim
