NERO VENEZIANO
I recently purchased a copy of Pino Donaggio's "Nero Veneziano" released by Vivimusica. The score has its moments but to my suprise and disappointment the sound is not that great. The score being really not that old was recorded in the late 70's. I'm just wonderinfg if the bad static sounds and speaker balance variations I keep hearing throughout various tracks concern my particular cd copy or are all the cd's released by this record label Vivimusica simply bad sounding releases from probably bad sounding master tapes. If anyone has this cd could you please ckeck. Any input would be appreciated. If it is really a bad sounding recording, it trully deserves a better sounding release if possible.

It's not just you. My copy had the same audio problems...I eventually sold it. I've heard the same from other collectors. A remastered release would be most welcome.

To address your other concern, I own a few different CDs on the Vivimusica label, including "Francesco DeMasi Film Music ~ Violence and Suspence" and Claudio Simonetti's "A Fantastic Journey ~ Adventure and Horror," and I haven't noticed any problems with sound quality on those discs. The problem seems to be limited to the "Nero Veneziano" disc. Quite a shame, indeed.

Thanks!... Yes, it is a shame. A remastered edition would surely make a whole world of a difference in the sound. I'm glad the other Vivimusica releases I'm interested in are good sounding.
