Instrumental Music Used On NBC's Dateline

Dateline has used an instrumental piece in the background of some of it's reports. It is violin. It is used during mysterious parts of their reports. It was just in the background of a report that was on recently about a couple that was missing after a sailing trip. Sometimes the networks use soundtrack music for this. I was wondering if anyone had heard the music, knows what I'm talking about and can tell me if it is from a soundtrack and if so which one. Thanks for any help you can offer.
