I would also like to find The Two Jakes. That's a tough one to track down, but here is some information that may be helpful to you. The CD you are looking for is called: Wild Bill and The Two Jakes: The Film Music of Van Dyke Parks. It was released as a promo CD only. http://vandykeparks.com/music.html this site used to have an mp3 of the Main Theme from The Two Jakes you could download, but it has been down for some time. I've emailed the webmaster of the site, but did not get any response. It does show a picture of the CD cover however.

Hi Jake,
Thanks for the response.
The entry on the age for "Two Jakes" indicates a real soundtrack besides the
Parks compilation. I seem to remember it in stores years ago. I would prefer to
get this one, with all the old tunes used in the film as well. Looks like it will be
difficult to find.
I noticed your entry for the extended Chinatown CD, which I assume you've
gotten. It's the first I've heard of this. Is it worth replacing the original?

You should NEVER replace the original because it's more durable than a CDR or other copy/
bootleg. But if you mean is it worth having for the extra music it offers; yes! Sound is fine too.
