ROBERT PRINCE:NY EXPORT:OPUS JAZZ
I saw the above ballet in NY this week and it is a terrific score. I can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions?

Wow, is it from the same Prince who wrote many scores for TV movies and shows in the 70s?

I saw the same ballet this June & also wanted to track down a recording of the score. NYPLibrary didn't have any listing, which makes me a bit discouraged. If anyone out there knows of a recording (perhaps European) it would be great to track it down. It's such a moody, 'period piece' of the beatnik era! Glad to see that someone else was inspired by it, as I was.

I was the stage manager of the original ballet and I too am looking for a recording. No luck so far. I am trying to find an address for his wife, Arline. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I found an LP that I have in my home> I need to convert it to CD for my own use. You are looking for the wife of the composer?

Reuben,
If you have a recording of the music, I would be interested to have the particulars & also if you do get it transferred to CD I would be interested to get a copy from you, which I think would be ethical since it's obviously been out of print for a very long time. I think there are services which can transfer it for you. I now have the ability to make copies of CDs on my computer.
But in any event I am very happy to learn that there is a recording of this wonderful music somewhere. There are quite a few LP stores near me, so with the particulars I might luck out & find a copy of my own.
I'll check this site every couple of wks.
Thanks a lot, teri
