"However, if a normal punter complains that they have spotted an illegal sale, Ebay apparently refuses to notice, sticks its hands in its ears and sings loudly."
Sad but true !
Perhaps it will finally learn them (though FSM is no Tiffany's anyway)

It's about time! eBay most definetely needs the negative publicity to get their ass kicked and their act going! They put up such a front with their bureaucratic and complicated pointless useless policies which are in fact not adhered to and most of the time proven to hinder and not trully help. I am still waiting for some sort of refund for my counterfeit Omega Man cd. All paper work has been sent with so far no response whatsoever! They do nothing about the various and infinite counterfeit items being auctioned every day to simply collect their usual fees and make their millions. If they do, it is after the auction has closed, it is after the fees have been collected, and it is after the consumer has been ripped off! Sadly I'm beginning to believe that perhaps now infamous and oblivious eBay with their tactics apathetically greenlights charlatan sellers in ripping off unsuspected and naive consumers by selling them counterfeit products to once again... collect more and more fees! I guess a distrustful and educated consumer is eBay's worst enemy! Shame shame shame on eBay!!!!

Ebay should be interested in removing fakes. If they did then more and more consumers interested in buying the real thing would start buying on Ebay. Which ultimately increases Ebay's profits.
In the long run if they are seen to encourage fakes then their business will suffer as only the minority interested in cheap fakes will shop on Ebay or the law enforcement agencies will target Ebay for condoning these practices.
