THE ITALIAN JOB by John Powell
Hello,
I got this nice soundtrack today and keep noticing some sounds in the first track (Opening Titles) that leave me wondering if they were intended and created by the composer or pressing errors of the CD. As it is difficult to characterize the sounds - I can only describe them as some sort of artificial crackle that is a bit irritating to the ears -, it might make more sense to locate them inside the track. The dubious sounds are concentrated most clearly between the 0:51 and 1:12 mark. If anyone of you owns this Varèse Sarabande/Colosseum CD as well and would not mind checking if your copy has the same sounds or not, I would be grateful. I just want to know if my copy is faulty or if Powell just chose some irritating sound effect for his opening titles.
Thanks in advance,
Urs
